Book Dragon; Overlay Mosaic Crochet Blanket
Made by Ashlee Brotzell

Details
This whimsical dragon may not be reading the book he’s perched on. It is full of imaginary ancient runes. The art on the sides is reminiscent of an ancient language but doesn’t actually say anything (as far as I know).
**This listing is for the overlay mosaic crochet technique.** See other listings for interlocking crochet option.
The pattern comes with the fully written line-by-line instructions and an x-marked chart showing where to do your dropped double crochets.

Mosaic crochet uses single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. My patterns instruct you to cut your yarn at the end of each row. The back is striped but often gives a faint impression of the pattern on the front (sort of like illusion knitting).
I have YouTube tutorials available for both crochet methods! Follow this link to get to my YouTube channel and find my other social links: https://ashleeslint.com/link-in-bio.
