BETTYHILL - a becoming plain coloured spacious cardigan in Shetland wool. A small cable is running up along the front edgings. The cardigan was worked flat on circular needles due to the number of stitches. The sleeves were worked flat top to bottom. The collar is the type lapels. Accurate written pattern.
Required skill level from 1 (basic) to 5 (advanced): 4.
The measurements given throughout the pattern are all in cm as well as inches.

Measurements of the garment:
Bust: 94 cm - 104 cm - 116 cm - 128 cm - 140 cm (in: 37 - 41 - 45.75 - 50.25 - 55)
Length: 60 cm - 62 cm - 63 cm - 64 cm - 66 cm (in: 23.5 - 24.5 - 24.75 - 25.25 - 26) or as desired
Yarn: this design applies for a 2ply Jumper Weignt wool, 50 g = ca. 210 meters.
The original model was made in 2ply Jumper Weight Shetlandsuld, 100 % wool from Jamieson and Smith, Lerwick, Shetland Isles.
Needles: and circular needles (or double pointed) no 2.5 mm and 3 mm.
Tension/gauge in stocking st (washed sample): 24 sts on needles no 3 mm = 10 cm (4 in).
