The Ice Blossom Mosaic Square is a project using the overlay mosaic technique, crocheted from the center. With this technique you can create beautiful patterns and a nice relief effect by crocheting stitches over each other. In this pattern you will learn how to make a beautiful square with the delicate ice flower motif, perfect for a variety of projects.
The result is a unique square with a refined, layered look. Whether you are already experienced with mosaic crochet or want to try something new, this pattern is accessible to everyone. Grab your yarn and follow the steps - row by row you will see the ice flower motif come to life!
Is mosaic crocheting from the center new to you? No worries. With this pattern you will find a photo tutorial that explains the mosaic technique step by step. In addition to a table, this pattern also contains a description of all rows.
The square I crocheted is approximately 18 x 18 cm. My square is crocheted with Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/8 and crochet hook 4.5 mm. But the square can be crocheted with any yarn of your choice. Go for a thinner yarn for a smaller square. Or maybe acrylic for a nice blanket.
Below is an overview of the yarn used and the colors per square:
Color A: Cream (04), 27 meters
Color B: Teal (96), 42 meters
Required skill level: intermediate
