"Chessboard" cushion

Details

This chunky pillow with interesting texture is perfect knit project for beginners. Only what you need to know is how to make a basic knit and purl stitch.
For the pillow back you can sew your knit work onto the front of the pillow case (bought or self-made). The other option is to also knit the back of your pillow.

Finished size: approx. 40 cm / 16 inch wide x 40 cm / 16 inch long
Skill Level: Easy

Materials:
Yarn used: For this cushion I used 200 g “Noala” textile yarn in mustard (100% polyesther, 103 yds [23m] / 1.75 oz [50g]).

You can also use any other T-shirt or super bulky yarn, a great substitute is Borgo de’ Pazzi Dalia (100% Lyocell, 174 yds [160m] / 3.5 oz [100g].

Needles: US size 15 (10mm), straight.
Other supplies: tapestry needle, 16 x 16" [40 x 40 cm] cushion pad, same size pillow case (bought or self-made).
