This simple sweater uses yarn in a contrasting color to create a flower motif at the waist and cuffs that brings to mind Jeju’s hydrangeas.
The Clean version removes the mohair lace yoke of the Snow version, making it more approachable to knitters uncomfortable with knitting lace.
For knitters still looking for a bit of lace, the pattern includes a small lace detail at the cuffs.
This detail can be omitted for those looking for a simpler sweater
that is still lovely thanks to the flower motif.
This pattern is a top-down sweater starting at the neck,
and requires knowledge of German short rows and stranded colorwork.
Starting from the neck band, the yoke is worked in raglan construction, separated for the sleeves, and then rejoined for the body, with the sleeves knit separately.
The waistband and cuffs feature a strip of stranded colorwork
before being finished with 1x1 ribbing.
The mohair cuffs are the last step required to finish off
the lovely Sansuguk SWEATER Clean version.
