Chunky ZigZag Mand

The Chunky ZigZag basket is a round basket crocheted with the overlay mosaic technique. Here you crochet each round with a different color. To create the mosaic pattern, you crochet double crochets in the front loops of the underlying rounds. Because these are on the work, this method is called overlay crochet.

After crocheting the bottom, the basket is crocheted upwards in the round, so you can easily change color each round and you do not have a large amount of threads that need to be worked away.

The basket is crocheted with the sturdy Hobbii Friends Ribbon. A super voluminous yarn made of 100% cotton with the structure of a flat tube yarn. I used 1 x Turkish Blue (88), 1 x Light Gray (117) and 1 x Open Sea (79) and crochet hook 5.5 mm.

The basket I crocheted has a diameter of approximately 20 cm and is approximately 16 cm high.
