"Back to basic" granny square baby blanket

Beautiful in it's simplicity, this retro baby blanket can be a great beginners project. Traditional granny squares made in white and two shades of gray give this simple design stylish and sophisticated look. Motifs are joined on last round as they are worked, using a join-as-you-go method.

Make it for your favorite little one or give it as a great handmade shower/birthday gift.

Finished size: approx. 70 cm/ 28 inch wide x 90 cm / 36 inch long
Skill Level: Easy

Material:
- You can use any yarn weight 3 (DK, Light worsted) eg. Phildar Partner 3,5 (50 % Polyamide, 25% Wool, 25% Acrylic; 125 m [137 yds] / 50g): 7 balls in gray, 5 balls in White and 1 ball in Dark gray.

Crochet hook: 3.5 mm (US E/4)

Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it may affect the yarn quantities required. Each finished and blocked Square measures approx. 10x10 cm (4 x 4 inch)
