The fifth instalment in my fantasy series of overlay mosaic crochet patterns is here! "Fantasy Flight" includes tutorials for both the overlay mosaic technique and an envelope border, guiding crafters through each step of the process.

The pattern is written in US English terms and assumes knowledge of the basic crochet stitches (slip stitch, chain, single crochet, double crochet). The pattern itself is provided in both written and chart format.

Crochet Terms: US
Yarn: Any (the pictured example is made with Stylecraft Special DK Cream and Violet on a 4 mm hook and the final piece is 117 cm x 177 cm / 46 in x 70 in)
Quantity of Yarn: 7 skeins of cream (2250 m / 2460 yards) and 5 skeins of violet (1470 m / 1607 yards) | 2 skeins of the border colour.
Hook Size: appropriate for the yarn chosen
Size: 199 stitches across (plus 2 for the joining and ending stitches) and 299 rows tall.
Skill: Intermediate
Additional Materials: A hook 1 size down from your main hook to create the border.
