Clever Hands Knitting Pattern 4

These cute little chicks are fun and quick to knit. My first little chick creation was for a friend who wanted to give all the children in her class something special at Easter. I used lots of yellow yarn leftovers and made 20 chicks for her. They looked very cute all lined up together and the children absolutely loved them.

Suitable for new knitter who has mastered the basics. There is a little bit of sewing the pieces together but good practice for those bigger projects. The technique used to create the eyes is French knots.

Materials:
1 x 25g 8ply main colour
Small amounts of contrast colour
4mm needles
Length of black wool for eyes, stuffing, wool needle, scissors.

Measurement:
Approximate height 6cm
