This simple but effective child’s hat features our Treelines design. Forget all those plain hats or beanies, here is a pattern that will keep your interest from beginning to end. And that’s not the end, you’ll be back to try out different colour combinations! We ended up with eight test hats, each one unique in lovely colour combinations.

Another great weekend project for any knitter who likes a simple two colour pattern. The child’s hat on the cover of the knitting pattern uses a variegated or multicoloured yarn which is contrasted with a plain colour to great effect. The pattern itself has 6 rows that are repeated using the two colours.

Materials required:
1 x 50g Main colour 8 ply yarn (variegated or plain)
1 x 50g Contrast colour 8 ply yarn (plain)
3.75 & 4 mm needles
Wool needle
Scissors
Pompom maker or buy pompom in store

Sizes:
One size for ages 2-8 years
Measures head sizes 52-56 cm or 20-22 inches
