Knitted tencel sweater Babette

Details

Babette is knitted with tencel yarn, hand-dyed from a yarn store. This was my first project with tencel yarn and it feels wonderful to wear. It has a beautiful shine, giving it a more luxurious look.

Tencel yarn has a beautiful sheen, feels almost silky, and drapes beautifully. Making this yarn requires less energy and water than cotton. As a plant-based fiber (made from eucalyptus trees), tencel is also biodegradable.

Fair Isle knitting technique.

4 colors of hand-dyed tencel yarn, approximately 30 grams per color, the yarn store 100 grams is 225 meters
