The Watermelon Hedgehog is the eleventh creature in the Fruity Animals collection. It's a combination of an adorable hedgehog with a juicy watermelon, ready for harvest season.

The pattern is written in U.S. terminology. The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. Watermelon Hedgehog measures approx. 11cm (4.3in), when using the same yarn and tools indicated below.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials:
- Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran, 100% acrylic yarn, 100g / 184m, in Red, Off-white, Green, Light Green, Black, and Brown
- 4mm and 6 mm crochet hooks
- 8mm safety eyes
- Toy stuffing
- Yarn needle
- Scissors

Techniques: Magic Ring, Chain, Slip Stitch, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Increase, Invisible Decrease, Back Loop Only, Bobble Stitch, Embroidery.
