Kai the Koala

Details

Like most marsupials, Kai the Koala loves to sleep. He loves it so much that he can fall asleep pretty much anywhere at any given time, so he always carries a big leaf blanket with him to stay cozy. And should he wake up hungry from his nap, he immediately has a snack at hand.

The pattern is written in U.S. terminology. The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. Kai the Koala measures approx. 15cm long (6in), when using the same yarn/tools as indicated below. Make every piece with the 2.5mm crcchet hook unless stated otherwise.

Materials:
- Light worsted weight yarn (100% Cotton) in Light Grey (approx. 42g), Dark Grey (approx. 2g), Pink (approx. 2g), Light Green (approx. 5g)
- Chunky weight fluffy yarn (100% Polyester) in White (aprox. 4g)
- 2.5mm and 4.5mm crochet hooks
- Black embroidery thread
- Sewing needle
- Tapestry needle
- Toy stuffing
- Scissors
- Stitch markers (optional)

Techniques: Magic Ring, Chain, Slip Stitch, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet, Treble Crochet, Increase, Invisible Decrease, Embroidery.
