These are perfect first projects for someone new to knitting.
The first version is a quick and easy pattern using a variegated 8 ply yarn.
The second and third versions use a variegated 8ply yarn plus a contrasting plain colour. These two versions will also introduce knitting in stripes.
Buying a couple of balls of 8 ply yarn, some 4 mm needles, plus this pattern would make the perfect gift for someone starting out on their knitting journey.
