What a beautiful hat this is! Morale Fiber designed it and I like it for her
translate. Awesome!
I've loved a bowler or derby hat all my life. It's classic, yet cute and it goes with everything you wear. This love for the hats inspired me to make one
crochet version, a bit vintage, but sturdy enough to stay close to the bowler shape. This Vintage Derby pattern is the result, a fairly easy pattern,
Also suitable for beginners, but with a nice structure due to the knitting stitch and the use of two strands of yarn at the same time. I chose the stockinette stitch because I wanted the surface to look smoother than regular single crochet, and because it looks even more vintage. It is a
easy stitch to crochet!
You simply crochet the same way you would always crochet the stitch, only you use two
wires at the same time. This ensures that the βfabricβ becomes nice and sturdy and thick, which in turn ensures that the hat retains its shape.
