Maple the Red Fox

Autumn is in the air, golden leaves are dancing, and wild mushrooms are sprouting, the perfect season to cuddle up with Maple the Red Fox during rainy days. Maple loves to walk quietly through the forest looking for the perfect mushroom cap to protect him from the weather, and then fly up to the trees to admire the changing foliage.
This design was made in collaboration with Sandra from Four Seasons Fox.

The pattern is written in U.S. terminology. The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. Maple the Red Fox measures approx. 12cm (4.7in), when using the same yarn/tools as indicated below and working with the “x” single crochet technique (yarn under, yarn over).

- Scheepjes Catona 100% Mercerized Cotton Yarn in “MC” Rust 388 or Tangerine 281 (approx. 22g), “CC1” Black Coffee 162 or Root Beer 157 (approx. 4g), Bridal White 105 (approx. 17g), Yellow Gold 208 (approx. 3g), and Poppy Rose 390 (approx. 6g)
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- Black embroidery thread
- Toy stuffing (approx. 5g)
- Sewing pins (optional)
- Sewing needle
- Yarn needle
- Scissors

Techniques: Magic Ring, Chain, Slip Stitch, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet, Increase, Invisible Decrease, Decrease 3 stitches together, Colour Changing, Embroidery.
