Details
Crochet a beautiful, cuddly, soft onesie with a bear ear and a bear tail. The pattern was designed by Morale Fiber and translated into Dutch for you with permission.
The complete craze surrounding onesies has largely bypassed my wardrobe, but when I saw this bear while shopping online, as a suit with shorts and a hood with ears, I thought it would look incredibly nice as a crochet pattern.
The problem was that the website where I came across the bear suit was such an annoying fake site. The kind of website that steals photos from independent artists and then tries to sell horrible crap. So then I thought... βI can crochet that too!β
I would like to one day make an extensive pattern for this pattern, with more details, such as stitch counts and options for other sizes. But now there is a description of my calculations and a photo tutorial with written explanation for my own size (small) so that you can get started.
Materials:
- Red Heart Hygge Fur (#5 Bulky, 200 g / 237 meters β the color in the photos is βSmokeyβ) β 6 balls
- 6.00 mm crochet hook
- Buttons β I used very small buttons (5/8ths inch), but would use larger ones next time
- String or ribbon for the waist (optional) β I used an acrylic mesh ribbon
- Scissors & darning needle
- Measuring tape (really useful!)
Required skill level: intermediate
