Details

This beautiful shawl/poncho was designed by Morale Fiber, the stage name of Regina Weiss. She makes very cool crochet patterns! And I can translate them :) :)

This pattern combines crochet and knitting and becomes a real eye-catcher :)

My favorite projects usually have a recycling element in them and this project really has great scrap-making qualities. On the two narrower front panels you see that you can really use very small pieces of leftovers, because you don't have to cut away any ends. At least, not as much as you might think, as long as you change colors at the end of the round. I can usually guess that well, with half a meter or so left of the small ball I used. Very occasionally I lost and my bun was already gone in the middle of the round.

The ends are on the outer edges of the ruana, you can just knot them and let them fall into the fringe. This means you don't have to fiddle with a darning needle and scissors. But you still have to get rid of the ends of the grannies.
